IT Systems Engineer - Infrastructure & Security (80-100%)
To strengthen our IT team, we are looking for a technically skilled, young professional —on a flexible schedule —who enjoys operating, developing, and securing modern IT infrastructures. You can expect a diverse role in a small team—ranging from on-premises systems and networks to Azure, the cloud, and IT security.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operation, maintenance, and further development of our IT infrastructure
- Management and optimization of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPN infrastructures
- Administration and further development of our Microsoft and Azure environments, as well as Windows Server, Active Directory, and other infrastructure systems
- Assisting with the security of systems, networks, and cloud environments
- Technical support for internal and external users, as well as analysis of more complex issues
- Active participation in IT projects—from planning through implementation
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Several years of practical experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering
- Strong knowledge in several areas, including Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, firewalls, Azure, and IT security; knowledge of Linux is a plus
- A passion for solving technical problems independently, analytically, and pragmatically
- A reliable work ethic and a passion for collaborating within a small team
- A desire to further your professional development and learn about new technologies
- Excellent command of German and English
- A background in computer science and relevant certifications are a plus—practical experience and technical understanding are just as important to us

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
As a small IT team, we work closely together and therefore place a high value on regular in-office presence. The position is generally intended to be an on-site role; occasional work from home is possible by arrangement.
