The future of on-site voting: the GVMANAGER live televoter
During a recent workshop on BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) televoting, we received valuable insights and feedback from participants. The majority of participants emphasized that a pure BYOD approach for voting devices is not expedient, and that even with the new generation of voting devices, handed-out devices remain indispensable.
We have taken this feedback into account in the further development of our GVMANAGER-Live Televoter project, which represents the next evolutionary stage of our tried-and-tested GVMANAGER-Live platform. The aim is to create a solution that both meets the requirements of traditional on-site general meetings and integrates forward-looking approaches.
To meet this requirement, we have decided to provide a hardware pool of specially configured devices that are operated in secure kiosk mode. These devices guarantee intuitive and controlled user guidance on site. At the same time, the option of a BYOD approach is retained to serve customers who appreciate the flexibility and convenience of using their own smartphones.
The GVMANAGER-Live Televoter marks a logical evolutionary step in our system and rethinks on-site voting devices. With functions such as self-check-in, simultaneous audio and written translation and the option of flexible multiple voting, it sets new standards in voting technology and offers a pioneering solution for physical general meetings.
