In these 20 years, general meetings have evolved considerably - driven by technological innovations and legal amendments to company law. In 2005, the agenda was still manageable with 10 to 15 items. Today, there are often 25 to 35 items on the agenda. The election of the Board of Directors was also required less frequently back then - usually only every three years instead of annually as is the case today.
2014 was a significant milestone: following the adoption of the Minder Initiative, electronic voting to the independent proxy became mandatory for all listed companies. DEVIGUS was one step ahead of this development and launched the GVMANAGER Online platform back in 2012 in order to meet these requirements at an early stage.
A new chapter began in 2020 with the coronavirus pandemic: the virtual general meeting became a reality. DEVIGUS reacted quickly and developed GVMANAGER-Live - an electronic platform for virtual general meetings, which was already successfully used by the first customer in 2021.
We are celebrating another innovation on our 20th birthday: the GVMANAGER product family is being expanded to include the new GVMANAGER Live Televoter - a tool that will change general meetings forever. Stay tuned!
